In case you missed it, I wrote a First Person essay for CBC as part of the promo for my latest project, a CBC The Nature of Things documentary called Hairy Tales. The article delves into why I wear locs, the fact I’ve only had two full hair cuts in the last 21 years and that in my youth, I wasn’t allowed to grow my hair.
To be honest, I’m pleasantly surprised with how many of my friends and peers have read it and I’m super appreciative of all the positive reviews about it.
